Gloria Asamoah, 42, was indicted by a grand jury on two counts of murder, as well as other charges earlier this week.

Asamoah's 5-year-old twins were found dead in their Mount Hope apartment back on December 18.
Originally, she told police they had recently been sick at school, but an autopsy determined they had been smothered.
"This tragedy, occurring right before the holidays, was incredibly senseless," Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark said. "The young brother and sister were discovered lying together, lifeless, in their apartment. Their mother allegedly killed these children and will be held accountable."
Her attorneys requested she continue to receive psychiatric treatment and be put on suicide watch. The judge agreed

Asamoah is due back in court in July.
