Authorities say a 15-year-old male was the one who opened fire on a livery vehicle in the Bronx last Sunday, killing 16-year-old Ramon Gil-Medrano.
They say he opened fire from a scooter and shot Gil-Medrano in the head and chest around 11:30 p.m. on July 11.

He was arrested Saturday morning, arraigned and held without bail. He will be back in the youth part of criminal court on Monday for a hearing on whether he will continue to be prosecuted as an adult.
According to police, 19-year-old Mekhi Williams was also on a scooter that pulled up to the victim's livery car and has been charged with possession of a weapon used in the murder.
Williams is also suspected of being the gunman in a non-fatal shooting days before this killing.

Police say Gil-Medrano's murder was retaliation for a gang shooting that left 13-year-old Jaryan Elliot dead in the Bronx during the same weekend.

More young men are expected in to be arrested in the murder of Gil-Medrano, as detectives investigate that and the related gang retaliation killings of a Elliot and a 19-year-old.
The Bronx is currently struggling with a rash of crimes involving teen suspects.
