The road was closed to traffic through 6 p.m. to let people take in the glittering holiday store windows and of course the Rockefeller Center tree.

Mayor Eric Adams was also there.
The holiday Open Streets program ran on Fifth Avenue for three Sundays and there has been expanded pedestrian access to the Rockefeller Center tree.
Leaders are also encouraging everyone to sign up for Notify NYC for real-time updates in light of the storm.
