Making Strides has always been more than just a walk; it's a movement raising lifesaving funds that support breast cancer patients, survivors, thrivers, and caregivers through every step of the journey.
Eyewitness News reporter Stacey Sager recently received a special and well-deserved honor at Long Island's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer kickoff.
The American Cancer Society gave her its first annual Stacey Sager Courage Award.
Stacey is a 3-time cancer survivor and inspires us all daily!
7 for Stacey is our team is fundraising for the American Cancer Society's support services and lifesaving research in honor of our brave colleague.
She and other members of the Eyewitness News team will be walking the Long Island Making Strides Walk at Jones Beach State Park on Sunday, October 20.

Making Strides events will take place in more than 150 communities nationwide.
This year's walk in Central Park also takes place on the morning on Sunday, October 20, 2024.
