But officials said there were no major problems with power outages.

And in Rockland County, Executive Ed Day and Superintendent of Highways Charles "Skip" Vezzetti warned residents to take precautions on the roadways.

Rockland was mobilizing 24 snow removal trucks with four reserve trucks to travel 24 routes and clear 170 centerline miles of county roads.
Residents in the village of Nyack began digging out Thursday morning, even before the plows could make it to their streets.
