AMAGANSETT, Long Island (WABC) -- A well-known home on Long Island collapsed and officials suspect the cold weather is to blame.

The famous house, dubbed the "stilt house," in Amagansett is now partially submerged in ice.

The water beneath the house froze, which snapped the wooden posts that supported the house for 70 years.

Nobody was inside the home and nobody was hurt.
