SUMMIT, New Jersey (WABC) -- A missing dog from a New Jersey town was found on Tuesday after spending three days in the subzero temperatures and almost a foot of snow.
The dog named Trixie was staying with a dog sitter in Summit while her owner was in Mexico.
She got away from the dog sitter and several organizations and neighbors came together to search for her.
After three days in subzero temperatures, someone found Trixie and brought her to Summit Police headquarters.
Her owner was notified and she was taken to the vet to be checked out.
Trixie's owner called the rescue an "absolute miracle."
