Swearing-in ceremony set to be held for NYC Sheriff Edwin Raymond

BROOKLYN, New York (WABC) -- Mayor Zohran Mamdani is set to speak at the swearing-in ceremony for New York City Sheriff Edwin Raymond.

Mamdani appointed Raymond back in May.

He is overseeing the legal processes and upholding court orders.

Before becoming sheriff, Raymond was an NYPD officer who rose through the ranks to become a commanding officer in Brooklyn.

He also served in the state attorney general's office.
