The officers and passersby can be seen pulling 26-year-old Patrick Lamorgese from the vehicle as it became engulfed in flames.There was a harrowing scene on a highway in Connecticut.

MIDDLEBURY, Connecticut (WABC) -- There was a harrowing scene on a highway in Connecticut.

Brave police officers and Good Samaritans pulled a man from a burning car.

It happened Monday afternoon on I-84 in Middlebury.

The officers and passersby can be seen pulling 26-year-old Patrick Lamorgese from the vehicle as it became engulfed in flames.

Lamorgese, who lives in White Plains, sustained minor injuries.

He was also cited for failure to maintain his lane and driving on a suspended license.
