Mother charged with abandoning baby must have psych exam

COLUMBUS CIRCLE (WABC) -- The mother charged with abandoning her baby on a Columbus Circle subway platform now must have a psychiatric exam.

The judge wants to know if 20-year-old Frankea Dabbs is mentally fit for court.

Dabbs is accused of leaving her 10-month-old daughter on a platform last month.

A woman saw it happen and stayed with the baby until police arrived.
