Man found dead in car after armed robbery of Bronx auto body shop

MORRIS PARK, Bronx (WABC) -- A man was found dead in a car after two men burst into an auto body shop in the Bronx.

Around 9 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to a report of a robbery at an auto body shop on Stillwell Avenue.

Two armed men wearing masks, gloves and hoodies had come in, tied up two customers and put them into a vehicle, according to the NYPD.

The customers were able to free themselves, and when they did, the suspects and a man who worked had been abducted.

Around 11:15 p.m., police found the employee's vehicle parked in the 6000 block of Broadway in Riverdale with the man inside.

The employee was unconscious in the back seat of the vehicle with a zip tie around his neck.

He was taken to Montefiore Hospital, where the man was pronounced dead. The investigation is ongoing.

No arrests have been made.

The victim has been identified as 36-year-old Robert Bishun of Garnerville, NY.
