It was a big week in Washington, with the FBI director denying Trump Tower was wiretapped under his watch, Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch getting grilled in the Senate, and House Republicans pulling the bill to repeal and replace Obamacare.

This week we talk with one of the leaders in the fight against the Trump Administration, Senator Chalres Schumer of New York.

Also, three and a half milllion Americans sustain brain injuries every year, a topic I have learned a great deal about in the last 18 months.

In June of 2015, my son Nat, who was an Air Force pilot, was on his motorcycle headed to Tyndall Air Force base when he was hit by an airman on the base.

Many thought he wouldn't make it. Among his many injuries, he suffered severe trauma to his brain and doctors offered a grim outlook for his recovery. Thankfully, he's proven them wrong.

Since the accident I have shared our families TBI journey on Facebook in the hope of helping others, and given this is Brain Injury Awareness Month, we will spend some time talking to experts and patients about our brains and the healing process.

Joining us are Nancy Chiaravalloti, Director of Neuropsychology/ Neuroscience and Traumatic Brain Injury Research at the Kessler Foundation, one of the centers of excellence in dealing with brain injury.

And Jane Concato, a former patient at Kessler. She fractured her skull and was in a coma for three weeks after falling down the stairs in her home in New Jersey.
