BRIDGEPORT (WABC) -- A drive home from New York City turned terrifying for one family after a brick came crashing through their windshield.
Driver Ted Turner stopped the car, and the caught sight of three boys running away.
"Him and his two friends went running over the walkway, and I slammed on the brakes, and one of them was running and cheering and laughing," Turner said, "the other two was saying, 'it wasn't us, it wasn't us - it was him!'"
By the time Turner stopped again, he was in a different precinct, and the officer he stopped told him he wasn't able to take a report.
When Turner pulled into an auto glass repair shop in Bridgeport, he was able to get a new windshield, and think more about the harrowing experience that frightened his family.
"We travel down there to see all types of shows. We take a bike ride in Central Park, and it's gorgeous, and this is what they do for kicks, and it's a shame," Turner adds.
It might be a while before the family returns to the city.
"It was upsetting to see that someone was having fun doing this," says Turner.
