N.J. Burkett reports a livery cab driver is accused of sexually assaulting a rider in New Jersey.

WYCKOFF, New Jersey (WABC) -- A livery car driver is accused of sexually assaulting a passenger near the passenger's own home in New Jersey.

The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office said the assault happened early Monday morning in Wyckoff. The woman used a car service and the driver at some point allegedly sexually assaulted the rider near the driveway of her home.

At some point after the incident, she called 911 and reported the assault.

The prosecutor's office said their investigation led them to 31-year-old Al-Quon Hopkins of Paterson, New Jersey. He's been charged with one count of aggravated sexual assault and his bail was set at $250,000.

Hopkins' next court hearing is set for November 4. In the meantime, he's been ordered to have no contact with the victim, must surrender his passport and cannot work as a livery driver.

Investigators refused to name his employer but his relatives tell Eyewitness News he drove for Uber.

His relatives were stunned by the arrest, and insisted he's innocent.
