Fire destroys home in Coram, Long Island; investigation underway

CORAM, N.Y. -- Arson investigators are looking into what sparked a fire that destroyed a Long Island home.

The fire started in the home in Coram about 5 o'clock Saturday afternoon.

Smoke and flames quickly spread through the building.

Everyone inside the house got out safely.

It took firefighters nearly an hour to bring the fire under control.

Brookhaven fire marshals and the arson square are investigating.
