Police release image of suspect in Brooklyn double murder
Police have released a surveillance photo of the suspect wanted in a double murder in Brooklyn

EAST NEW YORK, Brooklyn (WABC) -- Police have released a surveillance photo of the suspect wanted in a double murder in Brooklyn.

The incident happened on Friday, June 23, just before 5 a.m. on Cleveland Street in East New York.

Authorities say 27-year-old Devon Hannibal and 23-year-old Christina Stubbs were found shot to death inside a red Dodge Durango.

Police say 13 shots were fired at the driver, who was the intended target. The woman, who was on passenger side, was hit with one round.

The pair had just left a nearby club called Linden Hall.

NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce said police think there was only one gunman, who used a 9-mm handgun.

No arrests were made, and the investigation is ongoing. The motive is unknown.
