Parents search for answers in mysterious death of son
AJ Ross has more from Teaneck.

TEANECK (WABC) -- There was an outpouring of love and support in Teaneck for the family of 20-year-old Pablo Polanco, who was laid to rest Saturday afternoon following his mysterious death in Lower Manhattan just days ago. With police now investigating, and so many questions still lingering, Pablo's family is hoping someone out there may have seen or heard something that can give them peace.

With ambitions of seeing his name in bright lights one day, 20-year-old Pablo was a charismatic and talented student in his first year at the New York Film Academy. He had big dreams, and big support from family and friends.

"At 20 years old, you don't expect someone to have that much of an impact on so many people and Pablo was that person," said Pablo's brother, Franklin.

Described as potential star that will never have the chance to shine, Pablo was discovered unconscious and with numerous abrasions along West Street in Lower Manhattan Sunday night. His mom says police first considered his death a possible hit and run, but after he was found with no shoes and wallet, the investigation has taken another turn.

Now plagued with unanswered questions, and leaning on the outpouring of support from others, Pablo's family is begging anyone who may have seen or heard something to step forward so they might find peace.

Anyone with any information that may help police is asked to call Crimestoppers at 1800-577-TIPS.
