CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn (WABC) --Police are looking for a suspect who they said may be behind two separate incidents -- the slashing of one man and the stabbing of another -- inside a Brooklyn chicken restaurant last weekend.
One victim, a 34-year-old man, was slashed in the face inside the Crown Fried Chicken at 1147 Fulton St., around 5 a.m. Sunday.
Raw video from the NYPD:
The suspect yelled "All these F----ts" and "I'm gonna shoot this place up" before swinging in the man's direction. The victim was slashed in the face and the suspect fled. The victim was treated at Kings County Hospital with stitches and staples.
A second victim, a 24-year-old man, was stabbed in another apparent scuffle, apparently by the same suspect at the same restaurant, shortly afterwards, according to the New York City Police Department. The suspect was yelling at the man's friend, and when the victim got between them, the suspect pulled out a knife and pushed him into the restaurant.
He was stabbed in the rib and shoulder during the shoving. He was taken to Methodist Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force will investigate to determine if the attacks were bias crimes.
