YAPHANK (WABC) -- The suspect in the murders of two prostitutes two decades ago on Long Island is due back in court Thursday.

John Bittrolff is being arraigned in the killings of 20-year-old Colleen McNamee and 31-year-old Rita Tangredi.

Tangredi's body was found in East Patchogue in November of 1993. Two months later, McNamee's body was discovered in Shirley.

Both women were found nude, beaten and strangled.

Prosecutors think the 48-year-old Bittrolff, of Manorville, may also be responsible for another murder.

The body of Sandra Costilla, from Queens, was also discovered in November of 1993.

A DNA match identified the suspect, who was taken into custody last week.

Bittrolff is being held without bail.

According to Suffolk County police, there is no evidence that these crimes are connected any of the remains found in the Gilgo Beach area.
