MIDTOWN, Manhattan (WABC) -- A woman said she was raped inside the Port Authority Bus Terminal by a man she met on eHarmony for a "date."

The 28-year-old victim met the man, who identified himself on the dating site as "Jeffrey Kent," after she arrived on a bus at the terminal at around 4 p.m. Monday.

The man said he was taking her to a hotel. When she refused, he told her he had a gun, and then forced her into what appeared to be an abandoned train tunnel under the bus terminal where he allegedly raped her.

Afterwards, the woman found her way out to West 41st Street between Tenth and 11th Avenues and asked a firefighter for help.

She was treated at Mount Sinai Roosevelt Hospital.

The victim is from out of town and is working with Port Authority police to explain where she thought she was taken during the assault.
