Dead whale that washed ashore on Long Island may have been hit by boat, officials say
Joe Torres has more on a dead whale that washed ashore on Long Island.

LONG BEACH, Long Island (WABC) -- A dead humpback whale that washed ashore on Long Beach, Long Island may have been hit by a boat.

The Atlantic Marine Conservation Society says a necropsy found the 32-foot long female whale had extensive bruising that is consistent with a vessel strike.

The whale was two to five years old.

She was buried on the beach.
