KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Jamaal Charles will not play for the Kansas City Chiefs in Sunday's game against the New York Jets at Arrowhead Stadium.

Charles has yet to play this after season after tearing his right ACL in a game last October. He returned to practice late in training camp but has yet to reclaim the full-time featured back role he had before the injury. Charles did mostly scout-team work in practice this week and the Chiefs listed in his doubtful for Sunday's game on their final injury report of the week.

The Chiefs will go with Spencer Ware or Charcandrick West as their feature backs in Sunday's game.
