WOODLAWN (WABC) -- Service on the 4 line was suspended for hours in part of the Bronx after a tractor-trailer hit an overpass Wednesday afternoon.

It happened just after 4:40 p.m. on Jerome Avenue and E 213th Street in the Woodlawn section.

The truck became wedged under the elevated tracks. The cab portion struck an electrical cable, sparking a small fire.

There are no reports of injuries.

There was no 4 service for the last 7 stops between Burnside Avenue and Woodlawn. Service was restored after 8 p.m. with delays.

The MTA says the truck will need to be removed and towed, and then the columns and the elevated subway will need to be inspected to make sure it is structurally sound.
