Expect lots of clouds on Saturday, with possibly some filtered sunshine early in the day.
Clouds thicken at night, and while a coastal storm is a close call, most areas should stay dry. A few spotty showers are possible Saturday evening, especially on Long Island.
Sunday is the brighter of the two days. Highs near 61, but a gusty northwest breeze will make it feel more like the 50s. Despite the chill, it'll be sunny and pleasant overall.
Looking ahead, a strong rebound arrives early next week. Monday afternoon looks beautiful, with highs climbing into the low 70s. By Tuesday, summerlike warmth briefly takes over, with many inland areas touching 80 degrees. Coastal communities will be a bit cooler but still mild.
The warmth holds into Wednesday, though a slow-moving front approaches. Most of the day should stay dry, with showers and perhaps a rumble of thunder holding off until later. That front may linger into Thursday, bringing the potential for beneficial rain and a few embedded thunderstorms before cooler, drier air returns by Friday.
