New video released in Crema restaurant machete robbery

NEW YORK (WABC) -- Police are looking for a group of four men responsible for robbing a downtown restaurant using a machete, and they're hoping new surveillance video will lead to arrests.

On Sept. 12, around 10:30 p.m., officers responded to Crema Restaurant at 111 W. 17 St. According to a report for the New York City Police Department, an employee said three suspects came into the restaurant and removed the cash register from behind the bar. One of the suspects pulled out a machete and demanded money in Spanish.

A fourth man stood outside the restaurant as lookout. The group fled west on 17th Street towards 7th Avenue. The investigation is ongoing. They were wearing masks.
