Officer opens fire on suspect during armed carjacking in Brooklyn, police say

BROOKLYN (WABC) -- An officer fired a shot during a gunpoint carjacking in Brooklyn on Tuesday night, according to police.

It happened just after 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of Avenue O and East 15th Street.

Police said a vehicle started going toward an officer, and the officer fired one shot toward the car.

The vehicle was not hit and two people were arrested, police said.

No other details were given.
