Dog rescued after falling in pipe on golf course
The border collie was rescued at a golf course in Mount Sinai.

MOUNT SINAI, New York (WABC) -- A dog that was just doing its job at a golf course on Long Island was back at work Monday after surviving quite an ordeal last week.

JB, a 2-year-old border collie, was seen chasing geese off the course on July 10 at the Willow Creek Golf and Country Club in Mount Sinai when he tumbled more than 15 feet down a drain.

Employees finally discovered JB inside a pipe on Saturday, five days after he went missing, following reports of whimpering sounds coming from a drain.

It took a team of rescuers using shovels and a backhoe to dig near the pipe, where they found another opening and got the pup out.

JB was a little dehydrated after his ordeal, but otherwise all right.
