ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -- Authorities said Monday they've arrested a man captured on video knocking out a woman with a punch to the face, then saying, "This is what happens when you say I ain't gonna smack you."

Iben Hunter, 25, of Atlantic City, was nabbed Monday morning and charged with aggravated assault in the Saturday attack. The woman was left critically injured.

The video, posted to Facebook and later shared with police, shows a woman sitting on a step in a public park while surrounded by other people and a man leaning toward her as they exchange a few words, authorities said. He swings both arms before pulling back his right arm and punching her upside the head.

"This is what happens when you say I ain't gonna smack you," the man in the video said, talking to the camera and pointing down at the woman. The person filming the encounter laughs and crows, "It's over!"

The woman appears unconscious as the camera pans over her face. Police said she later regained consciousness and is listed in critical condition at AtlanticCare Regional Medical Center.

Hunter was being held on $100,000 bail at the Atlantic County Justice Facility. It wasn't immediately known if he had an attorney to comment on the charges.
