Gadgets to help with Thanksgiving cooking
Michelle Charlesworth has a look at some handy ways to make it easier to whip up Thanksgiving dinner.

NEW YORK CITY (WABC) -- Depending on whether you like to cook, Thanksgiving can either be a day to dread in the kitchen or a day to relish.

So to help out, Eyewitness News looked at some gadgets that can make your meal prep smoother with Meaghan Murphy from Good Housekeeping.

One of the most stressful things about prepping a the meal is timing.

"You have to get 10 things on the table hot, so don't fear the microwave," Murphy said. "Embrace the microwave."

Her favorite microwave, by Breville, runs at $300. You can even use it to nuke your own homemade cranberry sauce with a little sugar, some water and orange rind.

For the top of the line, Murphy loves the G.E. Profile Sensor Convection Microwave Oven, at $700. It bakes or microwaves anything.

"My favorite is the $99 Oster Extra Large Countertop Oven," she said. "It's lightweight, best value and easy to move if my neighbors need to borrow it."

After all, no one likes a dry bird.

And with the Cuisinart 9-Cup Food Processor at $149, you will cry with joy over never having to chop parsley or onions again.
