BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, Brooklyn (WABC) -- Kyle Donovan is on a roll and has no plans of slowing down. The 46-year-old from Brooklyn just appeared on a recent episode of ABC's Shark Tank.
His product was such a hit with the Sharks, he walked away with a $100,000 deal.
His latest invention, iCUP and iPLATE, features an interlocking plate, cup and utensils. This is his second creation.
Kyle came up with his first product, iFORK, after eating out and being grossed out that his utensils were touching the table. His uniquely designed spoon, knife and fork, which you can find in restaurants here in the U.S. and abroad, have a small ball on the back and never touch the table.
Watch an extended version of our interview with Kyle here:
Kyle's road to success is not typical. He got kicked out of high school but did eventually go back and graduate.
After only one semester in college, Kyle dropped out to chase his dream of becoming an entrepreneur. The move was a good one.
From starting his own photography business to founding NV Magazine, a business publication geared towards urban professionals, Kyle has the gift of spotting the unusual and brains to make it work.
