NEW YORK (WABC) -- The blizzard of 2026 impacted millions across New York City and the Tri-State area on February 22-23, 2026.

The major storm that blanketed the region with snow, canceled flights, disrupted transit and downed power lines.

More than 30 inches of snow fell on parts of Long Island and New Jersey.

Bayside, Queens inundated with snow as blizzard slams NYC

It's all hands on deck in New York City for a winter snowstorm that has as much bark as it has bite.

Kemberly Richardson braved the intensifying conditions on Bell Boulevard in Bayside, Queens, where snow was coming down hard Sunday night.

Winter storm pummels Westchester County with snow, gusty winds

A travel ban is in effect in Westchester County until Monday at 10 a.m.

Flight cancellations for NYC-area airports amid major snowstorm

Many flights were cancelled Sunday at JFK, LaGuardia and Newark airports, and even more have already been cancelled for Monday amid a major winter snowstorm, according to flightaware.com.
