Hilly neighborhoods a challenge for snow-clearing crews in Westchester County.

Bee Line Bus service has resumed Tuesday morning.

On Mamaroneck Avenue, most bus stops still appeared to be snowed in.

Front-end loaders were working to clear the snow by putting it in a dump truck to be hauled away.

The combination of new and old storm snow required heavy equipment to get the job done.

Metro-North is running on an enhanced Saturday schedule with two-thirds of the routes operating.

Nina Pineda has the latest on the Bee-Line bus service.

More than 80% of the 72,000 customers who lost power due to the blizzard, most in Monmouth and Ocean counties, have their power restored.

On NJ Transit, a limited President's Day schedule was expected to run and customers should check their train's schedule before leaving.

Many trains were already diverting through Hoboken due to the Portal Bridge project.

New York City Public Schools are back in session -- but according to Mayor Zohran Mamdani, "students may be excused for up to two hours for weather and transportation related delays."

Even with the grace period, many teachers and parents have been critical of the return to class so soon after the historic blizzard.

Over 169,000 New Yorkers signed a petition to cancel school for a second day.

"There's no place to walk. Sidewalks, street, people are walking their dogs in the middle of the street, so how are the kids going to get to school if they have to walk?" parent Michelle Thomas asked.

Teachers' union leadership told educators that they cannot be disciplined for missing school or arriving late due to the storm cleanup and travel conditions

"There is going to be low attendance of students, you are going to have low attendance of staff because people don't know if they can travel, if they can get to schools," UFT President Michael Mulgrew said.

Many kids on Long Island are waking up to a snow day or a delay on Tuesday in the aftermath of Monday's blizzard.

Meantime, limited service began for six branches of the LIRR with others expected to be restored throughout the day.

Crews have been de-icing the tracks and clearing fallen trees and snow to get things back on track.
