NYPD commissioner has a warning for Knicks fans
Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch warned Knicks fans on Friday afternoon: "do not be the one who ruins it going forward for everyone else. Remember, cops are Knicks fans too."
"We will have no tolerance for violence, particularly violence against police officers, destruction of property, climbing on light poles or structures, blocking emergency vehicles, or any other chaotic behavior that puts people at risk," she said. "Damaging property or acting like the rules do not apply to you is not the flex you think it is. It is an arrest, it is a bill for the damage, and it is a fast way to end the night badly."
Her remarks come after multiple fans were caught climbing on top of an ambulance as it passed Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night.
Two of the fans were on the ambulance's roof, waving a Knicks flag. Others were climbing onto the ambulance, stopped in the crowd
A third punched an NYPD police chief in the face.
