NYPD commissioner has a warning for Knicks fans

Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch warned Knicks fans on Friday afternoon: "do not be the one who ruins it going forward for everyone else. Remember, cops are Knicks fans too."

"We will have no tolerance for violence, particularly violence against police officers, destruction of property, climbing on light poles or structures, blocking emergency vehicles, or any other chaotic behavior that puts people at risk," she said. "Damaging property or acting like the rules do not apply to you is not the flex you think it is. It is an arrest, it is a bill for the damage, and it is a fast way to end the night badly."

Her remarks come after multiple fans were caught climbing on top of an ambulance as it passed Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night.

Two of the fans were on the ambulance's roof, waving a Knicks flag. Others were climbing onto the ambulance, stopped in the crowd

A third punched an NYPD police chief in the face.

Old video of Wemby missing shots in NY goes viral

An old video of San Antonio Spurs superstar Victor Wembanyama struggling to find his shooting touch at a basketball court in New York has resurfaced and gone viral in time for his team's NBA Finals series against the Knicks.

Footage posted by Austin Spruill shows the French big man missing a series of shots at Rucker Park.

Spruill said the footage dates back to a visit by Wemby to the hallowed New York court in 2023, and joked that the French star has never had much luck with the city's rims.

"When Wemby comes to New York, he shoots bricks," Spruill said. "I couldn't believe he missed every shot."

Mayor Mamdani will attend Game 3 of NBA Finals

Mayor Zohran Mamdani said he will attend Game 3 of the NBA Finals. But while President Trump suggested he could return for Game 4 Wednesday, the mayor said he will not.

"I won't be at Game 4. Game 3 is what I'm saving up for," the mayor said, noting that even the cheap seats are not cheap.

"There are no more (cheap seats.) Trust me, I can tell you that myself," Mamdani said. "I'm paying for my own tickets."

"I'll be there with a few friends, and I know that the President will also be coming. I can tell you that I won't be court side or in a suite, but I can't wait to see the game."
