NEW YORK (WABC) -- Go crazy, New York. Or, perhaps more accurately, crazier.
The red-hot Knicks are coming home just two wins away from an NBA championship more than a half-century in the making.
Jalen Brunson hit a go-ahead free throw with 9.5 seconds left after a turnover by Victor Wembanyama moments earlier, then Wembanyama missed a jumper at the end of New York's 105-104 win over the San Antonio Spurs on Friday night for a 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals.
New York joined the 1993 Chicago Bulls and 1995 Houston Rockets as the only teams to win the first two games of the Finals on the road. Both of those clubs came away as champions.
The series moves to Madison Square Garden for the next 2 games. Game 3 is Monday night at 8:30 p.m. and Game 4 is Wednesday night at 8:30 p.m. Both games are on ABC 7.
