Booze bandits swipe high-end Scotch worth thousands

RIVER EDGE, New Jersey (WABC) -- Police in New Jersey are searching for the bandits who made off with some high-end Scotch worth tens of thousands of dollars.

Authorities said six thieves broke into a locked case of liquor at Total Wine & More just off Route 4 in River Edge last Friday evening.

Anthony Johnson reports the latest on the high-end liquor theives.

The suspects used shopping carts to block an aisle while they broke into the case and removed bottles of 1952 Tullibardine, Highland Park (50 years old) and Macallan V5 Reflexion valued at nearly $52,000.

They also took a $68 bottle of Pinch Scotch.

Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspects, who remain at large.
