3 cars, including electric vehicle, go up in flames in Queens parking garage

Fire in Queens parking garage

ELMHURST, Queens (WABC) -- At least three cars caught fire in a parking garage in Elmhurst, Queens early Monday morning.

The fire broke out at 58-17 Junction Boulevard around 6:15 a.m.

Heavy smoke could be seen just to the east of Lefrak City, north of the Long Island Expressway.

Citizen App showed flames shooting from Lefrak City Plaza Garage.

At least three vehicles were on fire, with at least one of them said to be an electric vehicle.

Three charging stations also caught fire.

So far, there are no reports of any injuries.
