Up to 5 people shot in Yonkers intersection; no arrests, motive unknown
YONKERS (WABC) -- Multiple people were struck by gunfire in a Yonkers intersection late Sunday night, according to police.
Police say as many as five people were shot near Elm Street and St. Casimir Avenue sometime before 10 p.m. The victims were taken to area hospitals, but their conditions were not immediately known.
No arrests were immediately made.
Investigators have not released a motive, and the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.
Police have not yet identified any suspects.
