5 shot, 1 fatally in front of Bronx deli

PELHAM GARDENS, The Bronx (WABC) -- Five people were shot in the Bronx, one fatally, less than a block from the Allerton subway station.

It happened just after 8 p.m. Monday in front of a deli on 686 Allerton Ave. The street is now blanketed with paper cups being used to mark bullet casings.

Police say multiple people of interest were taken into custody.

All of the victims are males, but there is no information yet on their ages.

The motive of the shooting is unknown.
