
MIDDLE VILLAGE, Queens (WABC) -- A four-alarm fire burned through a strip of stores in the Middle Village section of Queens.
The fire broke out in one store on Dry Harbor Road just before 11:15 p.m. Monday night and spread through the cockloft to others.
Seven stores were damaged by fire or smoke.

Firefighters called a fourth alarm for relief purposes as they battled the flames and the overnight heat.
Six firefighters were treated for minor injuries. Three went to Elmhurst Hospital and three went to Long Island Jewish Forest Hills.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
