Awning falls from East Side building onto sidewalk

EAST SIDE, Manhattan (WABC) -- A huge green awning fell to the sidewalk on the East Side of Manhattan.

It happened on Thursday morning.

The awning detached from the apartment building at 200 E. 57th Street near 3rd Avenue.

Firefighters responded and cordoned off the scene.

No one was injured.
