'The Book of Mormon' changes its reopening plans following fire; When will the theater be ready?

NEW YORK (WABC) -- ATG Entertainment and "The Book of Mormon on Broadway" announced the show's re-opening plans following the May 4 fire at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre have changed.

The adjusted plan sees the long-running Broadway musical resume performances on Wednesday, May 27. It had originally planned to reopen on the 21st.

In a statement ATG Entertainment said in part, "ATG Entertainment and The Book of Mormon are working diligently to ensure that the theatre will be safe and comfortable for the cast and company, the building's staff, and audiences.

"For tickets to The Book of Mormon, go to www.BookofMormonBroadway.com or visit the Eugene O'Neill Theatre box office (230 West 49th Street). Ticket holders for cancelled performances will be notified via their point of purchase to receive refunds or reschedule."
