Tree falls onto parked vehicles in Bushwick

A tree fell onto several parked vehicles in Bushwick on Monday morning, according to the FDNY. No injuries were reported, and the Parks Department was notified.

BUSHWICK, Brooklyn (WABC) -- A huge tree snapped at its base Monday morning and plunged onto multiple vehicles in Brooklyn.

It happened just after 10 a.m. at 1122 Decatur St. between Central and Evergreen avenues in Bushwick.

Citizen App video showed the large, fallen tree blocking the street.

There were no reported injuries.

It's not clear yet what caused the tree to topple.

The Parks Department and the NYPD were directed to go in with their heavy equipment and remove it.
