BOROUGH PARK, Brooklyn (WABC) -- A man was taken into custody after a teen congregant of a synagogue in Brooklyn was slashed on Monday, according to authorities.
Police say they received a 911 call around 7:20 p.m. for an emotionally disturbed person inside a synagogue located at 1675 54th St. in Borough Park.
They say a 22-year-old man slashed a 14-year-old boy in the hand with some sort of cutting instrument.
The suspect was taken into custody, and the 14-year-old refused medical attention.
Police say both the suspect and victim were congregants of the synagogue.
It's not clear what led to the slashing, and no further details have been provided so far.
