CAMDEN, New Jersey (WABC) -- The city of Camden, New Jersey, has reached a significant crimefighting milestone.
For the first time in nearly 50 years, it has gone an entire summer without a homicide.
This comes as the city continues to see a decline in violent crime rates. Compared to last year, homicides are down 43%.
City officials are crediting the police department's shift to unity policing, using technology, and federal funding.
