Police search for hit-and-run driver who killed cyclist in Manhattan
MANHATTAN, New York (WABC) -- A 32-year-old bicyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash in the Hamilton Heights section of Manhattan on Friday night, according to police.
The crash happened around 9:45 p.m. near West 151st Street and Amsterdam Avenue.
Police said a black Dodge Durango was traveling southbound on Amsterdam Avenue when it struck the bicyclist. The driver then fled the scene without stopping.
Emergency crews responded to the location and transported the victim to Harlem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The victim's identity has not been released pending family notification.
No arrests have been made.
Police are searching for the driver of the Dodge Durango, and the investigation remains ongoing.
