Domestic dispute leads to car fire, man and woman burned in Washington Heights

Man accused of starting fire in Washington Heights

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, Manhattan (WABC) -- A man and woman were burned during a domestic dispute that spread to a car on a Washington Heights street early Tuesday.

The NYPD said that it stemmed from a domestic dispute.

The 27-year-old man is accused of starting the fire on Cabrini Boulevard at West 177th Street around 12:30 a.m.

The flames then spread to a car.

When the woman tried to stop him, she suffered burns to her hands.

The man also suffered burns throughout his body.

Both were taken to the hospital in stable condition.

So far, there is no word of any charges.
