Officials say one person refused medical attention

EAST HARLEM, Manhattan (WABC) -- Firefighters battled a massive blaze that tore through a beer garden in East Harlem on Wednesday.
The four-alarm fire erupted at the outdoor Santiago's Beer Garden attached to a restaurant on 120th Street by First Avenue around 6 p.m., FDNY officials said.
Approximately 170 firefighters rushed to the scene.
A woman named Sindy owns the dry cleaners next door and evacuated from her business as smoke filled the air.
Officials say the fire made its way into the adjacent residential building next door through the second and third floors.
The entire four-story building has water damage, smoke and fire damage, displacing every resident in the building.

"The windows gave way due to the extreme heat in the rear of the building and the fire entered through those windows," Deputy Assistant Chief James Canty said.
One person suffered minor injuries.
Officials say the beer garden was closed at the time.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
