
TOMS RIVER, N.J. (WABC) -- A multi-alarm fire swept through a number of businesses in Toms River, Ocean County.
Officials say the fire started in a pizzeria on Robbins Street before 12:30 a.m. Friday and spread to neighboring businesses.
12 fire companies responded to the blaze.
At one point, firefighters had to move back as a roof came crashing down.
One firefighter suffered a minor injury.
The blaze was placed under control by 3:30 a.m.
The cause is under investigation.
