Fire damages bagel shop, Ralph's Italian Ice in Franklin Square on Long Island

FRANKLIN SQUARE, Long Island (WABC) -- A fire tore through a bagel shop on Long Island Sunday night.

The smoky four-alarm fire started at 529 Bagels on 529 Franklin Ave. In Franklin Square just after 5 p.m. Sunday. Flames also caused damage to Ralph's Italian Ices next door.

About 200 firefighters from Nassau County fought the flames for hours.

No one was at either business at the time.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
