
MIDTOWN, Manhattan (WABC) -- One firefighter was injured after a second-alarm fire tore through a commercial building in Midtown early Tuesday morning.
The fire broke out just before 4 a.m. inside a building on West 30th Street.
Video from the scene showed heavy flames shooting from the building's windows as firefighters worked to bring the blaze under control. A large emergency response converged on the area, with thick smoke billowing into the air.
Officials said the commercial building was unoccupied when the fire started.
One firefighter was injured while battling the blaze. Officials have not released the firefighter's condition.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
